Plint Retains Mark Howorth as Senior Advisor for Introduction of Its New Technology

PLINT, a leading localization technology supplier, announced that it has retained Mark Howorth to serve as a Senior Advisor.

PLINT’s technology enables cost-effective, automated localization that most closely resembles human language. Traditional technologies like Neural Machine Translation, and Large Language Models still result in output that requires manual intervention to mimic phrasing that sounds natural. Plint has invested significant engineering over the last two years to reduce the need for human post-editing and QC.

Per Nauclér, Plint’s founder comments:

“Our new approach to subtitling is a paradigm shift and we want it to be communicated it as widely as possible. Having someone with Mark’s broad experience will help us make a bigger splash in the industry.”

Mark will work alongside Per and current Plint head of sales, Carlo DeCanti, to introduce the new technology to the marketplace.

Howorth brings 25+ years of media experience, the last nine of which have been in localization. He has served as the CEO of SDI Media, President of Iyuno, and CEO of VSI in recent years. His focus will be on helping Plint bring its new suite of technology to the marketplace.
